Software Architecture Consulting

Make your next architecture decision with clarity.

A growing SaaS product, a legacy system that needs to evolve, or a major technical investment. Let’s evaluate the decision against your product needs, your team’s capacity and the reality of your system today.

I consider the system alongside the team that will run it.

I’m a software architect based in Istanbul. My work spans SaaS, backend systems, messaging infrastructure, modernization and delivery practices. Architecture advice includes operating cost, migration risk and boundaries the team can own, alongside technology choices.

Which decisions can we work through?

We narrow the scope around your needs in the first conversation. A review of one decision or an assessment of connected architecture problems can both be useful starting points.

SaaS and multitenant architecture

Tenant isolation, data access boundaries and the effects of growth on the application and database. We evaluate row-level, schema-level and hybrid approaches against your product’s requirements.

Where should customer data be separated, and at what cost?

Legacy modernization

Make dependencies and migration order visible before changing a working system. Compare the risks of a rewrite with an incremental transition.

What should we keep, and where should we start?

Backend and service boundaries

Monolith or service separation, background jobs, event flows and delivery practices. Consider latency needs, failure scenarios and operational responsibilities together.

Which boundary would actually help the team?

Technical due diligence

Technical assessment of the codebase and architecture risks before an acquisition, investment or major engineering spend. Findings are explained in the context of the decision.

Which technical unknowns matter before committing?

What can you take away?

We agree on the depth and delivery format before starting. Depending on the scope, the work can include:

Current state and risks

Areas reviewed, dependencies, observations and assumptions that still need validation.

Decision options

The rationale and technical trade-offs of each alternative, including the team’s operational responsibilities.

Practical next steps

Priorities, migration dependencies and points to validate during implementation.

How do we work together?

  1. Share the context

Describe the product, current system, team and decision you need to make. Your first message does not need confidential documents or code.

  2. Define the review

Agree on the question, required access, scope of work and expected outputs.

  3. Evaluate the evidence

Review the architecture, code and available operational data as the scope requires. Separate what is known from what is assumed.

  4. Bring the decision to the team

Discuss the findings and alternatives together, then identify the next steps your team can implement.

Common questions

Do we need to rewrite the whole system?

That is a decision to make after a review. We evaluate what works, what needs to change and the migration risks, then compare options including incremental modernization.

Can we work on just one architecture decision?

Yes. We can focus on a specific question such as tenant isolation, a service boundary or one modernization step. We agree on the boundaries of the review together.

Do you also take on implementation?

This service covers architecture assessment and consulting. If implementation support is needed, we clarify its scope and working arrangement separately.

How are timing and fees determined?

Once the system size, areas to review, access requirements and expected outputs are clear, we agree on scope, schedule and fees.

A short brief is enough to start. These details help us begin with the right question.

  • Current system: product, technologies and team
  • The decision you need to make: problem, options or uncertainty
  • Constraints: timeline, dependencies and what must be preserved
